The Directorate of General Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia has released the statistical data of the IP Registration in www.dgip.go.id for the period of 2009-2011. The website has provided data of Applications of Trademarks, Patents, Copyrights, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications. According to statistical data, Applications of Trademark registration increased about 12 % during the period of 2009-2011. Trademark registrations from local registered about 15 % during the period of 2009-2010. Meanwhile, in the period of 2010-2011 increased about 17 %. However, trademark registrations from abroad decreased about 11% in the period of 2009-2010 and about 78% in period of 2010-2011. During the period of 2009-2011, applications of Patent increased about 5 %, while the applications of Geographical Indication increased about 50 %, the application of Industrial Design Increased about 4 %, and the applications of Copyright increased about 13 %.
