Business Software Alliance (BSA) of Indonesia will cooperate with The Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia to hold Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Award for Indonesian Companies. Prof. Ahmad M. Ramli, S.H., M.H., FCBArb, The Director for Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia, said “The Directorate of Intellectual Property Rights of Indonesia will support this event”. (Thursday, October, 31 2013).
Intellectual Property Rights Award is initiated by BSA of Indonesia. This award intends to give the rewards for Indonesian Companies that have committed to use the original software in their business operations. This Award is expected to inspire indonesian entrepreneurs to obey the Copyrights Law in Indonesia.
Ramli said that the Indonesian Companies can earn more profit by using the original software. IPR Award is the best solution to educate the indonesian companies to use original software. This method, is more effective than to use repressive method to protect the Copyrights in Indonesia.
Zain Adnan, The Head of Business Software Alliance of Indonesia, expected that many Indonesian Companies will participate in this event and will use original software in their business operations.
Zain Adnan said, “Software is a tool and asset for the company. The original software, can protect the important data from virus and hacker. By using original software, the company can get technical supports from software developer, and can reduce the operational cost. Moreover, using original software is the best way to build companies’ reputations.
