Am Badar & Am Badar’s journey is filled with proud and ever-developing expertise. Through this retrospective, we aim to showcase the dedication and passion that have defined us since the establishment of our law firm.
In the 1960s, very few law firms specialized in Intellectual Property protection. Therefore, to provide legal protection for creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs, Mr. Toetoen Ambadar, S.H., with the help of Mr. Tommy, founded Am Badar & Am Badar on September 2, 1965. Our first office was on Keutamaan Street, No. 79, Krukut, West Jakarta.
The enactment of Law No. 6 of 1989 (Patent Law 1989) by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on August 1, 1991, vastly increased the number of patent applications. This allowed us to grow rapidly and expand our clientele to multinational parties. Am Badar & Am Badar office was moved to Veteran Street 3/7A, Central Jakarta.
This year marked many significant shifts in our company. Am Badar & Am Badar’s leadership was passed on from the founder to the second generation, represented by Ms. Nadia Ambadar S.H., M.H., and Ms. Anisa Ambadar S.H., LL.M.
The company name was also changed from Am Badar & Am Badar to Am Badar and Partners, while our office was again moved to Wahid Hasyim Street No. 14, Central Jakarta.
On April 17th, 2008, the entire Am Badar & Partners family grieved the passing of our founder, Mr. Toetoen Ambadar, S.H. However, his passion for supporting innovators lives on in Am Badar & Partners.
In 2015, Am Badar & Partners changed the company logo to match the company’s vision and mission better.
From 2017 to 2019, Am Badar & Partners was under the leadership of Ms. Nadia Ambadar, S.H., M.H.
Since September 2019, Am Badar & Partners has been under the leadership of Ms. Anisa Ambadar, S.H., LL.M.
In February 2021, Am Badar & Partners carried out a rebranding. We changed our name to Am Badar & Am Badar and utilized a new logo. Furthermore, our office was moved to the new premises with more space and facilities suitable for developing our law firm. We are now based on Proklamasi Street 79, Central Jakarta.
